Maybe you had already a 4GB installed?

Yeah, i do have 4gb of RAM installed but only one stick. I still have another slot open for another 4gb in the future. But, the system detects that i have 8gb of RAM installed (4gb usable). I checked CPUZ and proved that i have only one 4gb stick in one slot.

Check for a BIOS update, if there is not one, reset the BIOS by using the jumper (unplug from wall power first) or by pulling the battery from the motherboard for 10 seconds.

I already did that but to address a booting problem when i first put in the RAM.

>The CPU doesn't boot during the first power button press.
>Needs to switch of the UPS for a second.
>Press the power button for a 2nd time.
>Then boots.
>Also did it for removing the AsRock Fast charge thing on the BIOS because it keeps my mouse and keyboard lights on if i don't kill the UPS.

So, yeah. No bueno there. :(

So you had an issue with the system and the RAM when you first installed it? Seems like either the RAM or the RAM with your motherboard is the issue. Contact either the RAM vendor or mobo vendor and see if their support can help you.

The RAM model is actually supported and is in the list on AsRock.com i actually researched it properly before i bought the RAM.

Those other issues have already fixed themselves after i removed the BIOS battery.

This is the only problem left, it concerns me because i might have a chance to get another 4gb stick if my wife decides to eat out instead of going out of town for our anniversary.
