I was in the middle of a Skype call last night when suddenly I got disconnected from the internet. When I clicked on to see all available networks to connect to, the laptop could not find any. I shut it down and the next morning I check it again and it was the same situation. All my other devices (my smartphones) are perfectly connected to the WiFi, and when I even restarted the router the WiFi status in my laptop remained the same.

I bought this laptop last month, so it is new, and the fact it malfunctions like this completely baffles me.

Any tips on what I should do? Should I bring it back to the store?

A colleague of mine at work suggested that it could be a virus over Skype...

you can try it a a different location if it works it is something in your WiFi setup you may also just need to change your DNS server if that doesn't get it take it back to the store, they may be able to fix it on the spot or replace it , good luck
