Hi community,

I have been looking to build my own gaming PC for about 6 months to a year now in order to play some of the latest games at a high frame rate (preferably 60fps minimum, any more would be welcome.) on high/ultra settings.

I wouldn't consider myself to be a complete newbie, however i'm certainly no expert, I have no idea how to go about building my own, what sort of hardware works well together etc. I have a budget of about £1000, however I would consider going over if it meant that it would make a big difference, how much over exactly I'm not sure. Ideally i would want something that would last a number of years before it would need upgrading.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you!

That's what the forum is for. We help people who have troubles or do not understand. So not to worry we will guide you here.

This build has a dual channel 8GB RAM, so if you need 16GB RAM. Just throw in the same RAM to make a quad channel.

Overclocking?
SLI / Crossfire? Dual GPUs?
Do you need a monitor? If not what resolution is yours?
Do you need an OS?
Will you be doing any editing or similar content creation?
