Hi

I am thinking of upgrading my gpu from a HD 7970 reference to a ASUS GTX 970 SLI setup.
At the same time I am also in the market for a new display and I have already spent a lot of time researching without really getting that much closer to a decision. At the moment I am running a setup with three samsung 24" 1080p tn panels but I would like to get a 1440p (min 27") display instead and maybe keep one of the 24" displays for added productivity when working from home (I am working as a software developer).
I have specifically been looking at the overlord tempest:

I have heard a lot of good things about this display but as I am planning to buy nvidia cards it would be nice to be able to use G-Sync as it sounds like it would greatly improve my gaming experience. I haven't seen the effects of G-Sync myself though so my expectations are purely based on what I have been reading during the last week on different forums.
I am playing a variety of games both a couple of FPS games but also games like Dota 2 and EVE Online where the added input lag of IPS probably wont matter so much. I also do a little Photoshop work from time to time so good colors would definitely be a plus but as it is not something I do that often it is not the highest priority. I would prefer IPS though.
The other thing that keeps me from purchasing the tempest is that it costs 460$ but after import taxes and shipping (I live in Denmark) it gets up to around 780$. I am willing to pay this and I might go a little higher if it is worth it but I was wondering if there was a better display available at around that cost in Europe that would be a better buy.

My current displays are 3-4 years old and their colors are degrading rapidly. None of them have colors similar to any of the others nor the ability to show anything close to black.
Any display would be a big improvement but I will probably not be able to upgrade again anytime soon, so I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction on what would be the best display for max 850$ and if it would be better to wait for some announced display that haven't arrived yet.

EDIT:
I have been looking at the BenQ BL3200PT. Would this be a good choice?
