Hello everyone

I found a good deal for a secondhand R9 290 however it was used for mining for a month therefore it does not come with any warranty. He used 5 same cards therefore sells them all now for a good price.

So there is a question whether should I buy a card after a month of mining. Is it that bad?

Also the seller told me that I can come and check the card before paying if I will buy from the auction.

The normal price of such used card is 400 NZD about 300 USD and he sells it for 200 NZD about 150 USD.

Description from the auction

Im upgrading to new ones

Card has been tested and used before placing on here

Personally, I wouldn't eventhough the price is tempting. The stress the cards go under a mining rig definitely reduces the life of the card. If you are still going for it, check to see if what environment it was in, as in if it was properly cooled with good airflow at least. You money though...

I agree.

Mining is normally 24/7 at 100% load and 100% fan speed.

Those fans look clogged with dust, do not buy.
