Hi guys,

today I got a new Corsair CX600m PSU.
When I want to put the 24 pin into my MSI FM2-A55M-E33 Mainboard it wont go fully in and clip.
I tried and made some research but nothing helps.
Its around 80-90% in, pc starts and everything works fine.
I totally give up my fingers hurt and I cant seem to get it to clip in (its like 1mm to have it clipped in).
I tried as much force as possible without bending the Motherboard.

Also tried putting in the 20pin first but that wont clip either.
Is there any solution ?
Also if my pc is running now can it lead to damage as its not fully clipped in ?

You could try pressing down on the unclipped side with an object so that your fingers don't get hurt.

Something like the back end of a pen or somesuch.

Actually it seems to be my mainboard, tried another psu and it still wont clip in.
So what now, I dont plan on buying a new mainboard and my pc runs fine.
Can my pc get damaged when its not clipped in but like 90% inside ? ?

Apparently this is a very common problem with some Corsair PSUs.

I found this thread concerning the issue you're having:

Advice ranges from using pliers to clamp the clip into place (assisted by a cloth to protect the Motherboard) all the way to placing supports underneath the Motherboard so it doesn't bend and then pressing firmly down on the Power Connector until it clips into place.

I'd recommend the latter technique: Place some balled-up paper under the Motherboard so it can't bend and then press firmly down on the clip.

I called my brother who has some more muscles then me, he did it in 5 seconds the normal way.
I guess I didnt have enough power to force it in.
