I'm trying to add a PNY GT640 GPU to my Supermicro motherboard -- I'm unable to get past POST. I'm getting an error code of 16, but I'm unable to find anywhere what that means. So, I'm curious if anybody else might be using this combination successfully?

Thanks,
Dave

Is your power supply good enough to power the card? If you have a poor quality power supply or even a good one that is not powerfull enough, card won't work.

You can try a BIOS update is the power supply checks out.

Also there are known issues with some PCIe 1 slots and some newer CPIe2 and 3 cards.

PSU is 550w -- I have 6 HDs, but they only draw 3w each
My BIOS is current
Slot I'm inserting into is a PCIe3.0 x8 (in x16)
Graphics card is a PCIe3.0 x16
