I'm playing Arma 3 or Gmod fine until sometimes it suddenly slows down and basically crashes my whole pc and I have to restart it. This is a new PC and it was working fine until i installed my graphics card. Sometimes it takes a while for it to happen sometimes about after 15 mins of playing.
my temps for my cpu when playing are 49-55 degrees
and gpu temps when playing are 79-83 degrees.

My pc specs are:

intel core i7 4970k
g skill 16gb ram 2400mhz
gtx 660
ssd and hdd etc
fractal design r4 case.
i checked event viewer and got this,
but it was like 4 mins before it happened.

"The GhFlt service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."
and
Name resolution for the name DB3MSGR5011410.gateway.messenger.live.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

anyone think they can helP?

More about : gpu driver

Try Who Crashed. (Free Version) http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed
If it is a driver it should tell what device it is.

I just used it last night, to fix a blue screen.
It said it was the video card, so I updated to the Catilyst drivers that just came out, and the crashes stopped so far.

If there isn't a newer driver, try one older.

Didn't notice the temp.

While 97c in the max, 83c is a bit high.
68c t0 70c is what the average I'm finding is.
