I wanted to help if this trick I came across could work for you guys as well. When I was playing assassin's creed iv black flag with v sync enabled because of severe tear even under 60 frames per second I opened the task manager by pressing Alt + ctrl + del whilst the game was running then minimized the task manager and then went back to the game. The frames per second before this were locked at 30 frames per second but after this they were uncapped and ranged between 30 and 50 frames per second and there was no tear. After this I turned off the game and then restarted the game and again the frames were locked at 30 but I did the same trick again and the frames were uncapped also this time.
Then I tried the same trick in metro last light and it also worked in that game. I have a gtx760(driver 344.11) and an LG 22MP55 monitor if it has anything to do with that. In the nvidia control panel it's v sync - use the 3d application setting and tripple buffer - on. You guys can try this and hope it works for you.
