Hi i have bought a pc before 4 months and yesterday i bought one extra ram so i will use the dual channel cause i had only 1 module. And now when i am trying to open my pc.Fans start operating but screen is black and my mouse and keyboard has no light. Also when i close the pc from the start button and reopen it it doesnt shows me windows problem and tha i have to run it in safe mode so windows didnt operated as long as i had black screen (no signal)
I had the same problem when i tried my pc on boost mode. But i just turned it off and it worked fine until i purchased the new ram module

You have to buy Dual channel RAM as a set, unless you are extremely lucky.

Even the exact same 2 sticks might not work in dual channel, but will usually revert to single channel.

I'm guessing you have 2 different kinds, if it doesn't work at all.

What happens if the new stick is used alone?

So, It will run with either stick alone?

Then it is a case of not a matched set.
It is the worst case of not matched, because they won't run at all together.

Some unmatched sets will at least run together in single channel mode.

You can play with timings, speed and voltage, but I can't advise you on that, as it is nothing I would do myself.

You need a matched set of dual channel RAM
