I have an AMD FX-6300 and a MSI GTX760 2gb. I want to upgrade my processor in a year or so an was looking at the AMD FX8350. W

If you currenlty have a fx-6300 then you just remove the heat sink and then the cpu, put the new cpu in place (being carefull to not bend any pins and to line up the arrow) and then attach the heat sink that comes with the 8350. Nothing very complicated in it.

Possible that the old heatsink will be stuck on the old cpu (there is thermal paste in between the two that after a few years can dry and be like a weak glue). Dont pull straight up after you unclip the heatsink from theboard, you will need to twist it to loosen it from the cpu.

One other thing, you will need to make sure that yoru motherboard bios supports the new processor.

Go to the OEM site of whoever makes your motherboard (ASUS, Asrock, Gigabyte, etc). Go to support and go to your boards model number. Somewhere on the page is a cpu support list that will list the cpu and what bios version the mobo needs to support it. Write down that bios number.

Then restart your computer and enter the bios. Check the version number. If your number is >= the number from the website then you are good. If it is less then the number you will need to update your bios before installing the CPU.

I built my PC myself so I know how to install stuff. And I won't be switching to Intel. I just need to know the recommended gpu for the amd fx8350. Also I wont be upgrading for a good year or so
