So I am building my first ever Custom Computer! I went to Micro Center and they gave me a list of parts that are compatible and are for a mid-low end gaming computer, so I took it to pcpartpicker.com and changed it a bit adding some different parts and well just changing things up. I was wondering if there is anything anybody believes I should change on here. I am also looking for a good display around 22" and I am going to use Windows 8.1 so is it worth it to get a touch screen display? The types of games I will probably be playing on their are, Minecraft, Space Enginers, Sim City and POSSIBLY Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous. I was looking for getting around 40 FPS for most of those games at least please let me know if I am completely off.

EDIT: Now I am looking for a good graphics card that is better than the one I currently have, HERE. I am also looking for a good around $150 22" monitor.

BUDGET: Around $600-$700

Solution
AMD FX-6350 is a step up for the CPU and costs less:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113327

You'd also need an AM3+ motherboard instead, but that's no biggie.

The power supply is a stick of poo. CX series is not Corsair's best work. At minimum, get a mid-tier unit like this:

This one might be a little better quality for $10 more:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

The thermal paste that comes with the CPU is usually fine; if you're just using the stock CPU cooler there's not a lot of point in paying extra for paste without a better fan/heatsink to match.

You could get a much better GPU by ponying up the extra $40 for an r9 270...

Hey I see what your getting at but I am DEFINITELY getting 8 GB of RAM its important.

Thank you so much that helped a lot im gonna get rid of the Thermal Paste and ill change the power supply but I dont really do any video editing and things like that mostly gaming and web browsing so do I need the 6 Cores and 3.9 MHz instead of 4 Cores and 4.1 MHz? Also gonna keep the RAM at 8GB sorry.

EDIT: Also the "MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G TWIN FROZR Radeon R9 270X 2GB 1.03Ghz" Is only 1.03 GHz instead of 1.19GHz but does it matter much? AND what do you mean by a "AM3+" Motherbaord? ALSO the MSI R9 270x got some pretty bad reviews saying that it went black and blue screened quite a bit so yeah...

Yeah, the 6350 outdoes the A10 in benchmarks and is rated a tier higher on the monthly list from this site:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

The major benefit of the A10 is that it's an APU - basically a CPU and graphics processor in one, with the graphics being a step above what typically comes from onboard graphics on a motherboard. So if you're looking to build a budget gaming system, the value is hard to beat. But if you're using a standalone graphics card, then that takes the place of APU's graphics, so it's redundant.

I mean, most of the games you mention aren't particularly resource-intensive, so one road you COULD go down is to try just getting the APU with no standalone graphics card and it might work fine. But the overall better machine would be with the FX-6350 and a separate card; just depends on how much money you're looking to spend.

Keeping the 8GB of RAM is not a bad idea, but whatever you do, I would REALLY recommend the better video card from the start. Upgrading that is a lot more of a pain in the ass because you have to buy a whole new card. So whatever you have to do to come up with that extra $40, do it; a couple years from now you'll be glad you did.

One thing is I will upgrade to the A9 CPU and could you read what I added onto the reply to your first answer.

EDIT:NEVER MIND! I changed it now it has a AM3+ Board and the AMD FX-6350!

Oh, and one more thing, no, Windows 8.1 does not require a touch screen. The support is there if you have one, but if they required one, they would effectively cut out 90% of their potential customer base, as if sales of W8 aren't bad enough already.

I'm no expert on monitors, but for the price range you're talking about you can get quite a good one ... this is one that seems to get quite a few high recommendations, but search around a little and you'll find plenty of other options as well
