Hi guys. I need your help. I've set up a win7 Homegroup here at my office, and every computer shares files except for mine. They all run Windows 7 64bit. When I'm on any of the other PC's, I see the "shared" folders from my computer, but I can't open them. When I go to my PC to set the "share" permissions, they always say "nobody". When I try to share them with everyone, or homegroup, etc. it doesn't stay. I click share with "homegroup", and check the folder, and it still says "nobody". I've made sure that all my setting are correct (turn on file sharing, etc.) and identical on all the machines. All the other machines can access each others files. Of course, this is the machine that matter most, and it won't allow access to my folders. Thoughts?

Solution
Make sure you disable UAC through msconfig. After that, make sure you are running the administrator profile on the system and try again. If you still have an issue, You will need to make sure you enable sharing on the computer throgh GPEdit.msc

As always, reset UAC settings back to normal when you finish.

Cheers.
