Computer will not show display with graphics card

I recently installed windows 7 in my PC. It didnt boot.
Then i removed my Graphics card and attached the led to the maotherboard. This showed display, but when i tried to start with my graphics card installed. It didnt start up.
i have MSI 8600 gt . and motherboard is ASUS P5KPL AM-EPU

I have used it on the same pc. I just installed new windows a week before because it crashed

ok so its definitely the card ,,if the motherboard functions normally without the card and had been doing fine the gpu needs replacing.. you did a good job keeping a crd like that for so long honestly .. you should get a replacement for it ., for now you can just use the integrated graphics until you get a new card

so it means i should say good bye to an old pal !..
any suggestions on a new card ? i have budget of 100 dollars

well i can suggest a used card ,,you wont get a good unused card for such a small budget ... you can get a used radeon 5850 for just around $80 that should play most modern games if you wish to play modern games .. an alternative could be a gtx 460 for $100 or so on ebay and amazon .. would you get a used card ?

well when it comes to tech stuff id prefer brand new out of the box !!!

ok if you want card for a $100 you would be looking at a nvidia gt 610, gt 630 or gt 640 from nvidia and from amd you can get a radeon hd 5450 and r7 240 ,,those wont play much games but they should be better than integrated graphics by far and could do casual gaming ... you wont play anything heavy like bf3 or 4 and so on
