Hi! I currently own a brand new corsair RM750 which I believe isn't working.

I started recieving the parts I ordered online to build my custom PC and I believe my PSU is not working since I connected the LEDs of my case to see how it looked and they didn't light up. The PSU was connected to a working outlet and turned on properly...

To see if it was the LEDs or the PSU I connected the LEDs to my current computer and they lit up.

I then tried to connect a brand new disc reader into the Corsair RM750 and it didn't power on. I then proceeded to connect the same disc reader into my current computer and it powered on.

I was wondering if the PSU is simply DOA or if it required more than a 6pin connection to power up something.. I have not tried the paper clip test yet but I can definitly hear a 'buzz' inside the PSU when I turn the power switch on.

Help would be appreciated :)

Thanks a lot anti-duck , I just used the paperclip method and it worked perfectly fine, I guess this power supply needs a little load / a connection to the motherboard in order to power up!

At first I turned on the switch and nothing happened, had a mini heart attack when a heard a "CLICK" and my LEDs lit up! So happy right now I won't have to deal with a DOA PSU :)

Thanks again!

I've built quite a few computer's with a PSU with a hybrid fan mode, the first time I tried to jump one and the fan didn't start I crapped myself lol :D

I don't think any PSU will start until you ground the 24-pin though. That's a really good PSU too :)
