Yes. A SSD will work great with your MOBO. It will speed up everything. Get at least a 250gb so you can install windows, programs and games onto the SSD.

I have the Samsung EVO 500 and LOVE it. I will never use anything else.

The ads are very close to real life. My SSD boots very fast. I would say with windows 7 it boots in 1/2 the time or better. Windows 8 is near instant. Every program opens near instantly.

AHCI (dont worry about it... it dont matter)
The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) is a technical standard defined by Intel that specifies the operation of Serial ATA (SATA) host bus adapters in a non-implementation-specific manner.

Raid is for multiple HDD OR SSD's. You wont need to worry about this unless you get multiple SSD's

Trust me... if you have a HDD now, and you upgrade to a SSD, you will NEVER go back to a HDD being your system partition. It is the best upgrade ever.

Well I would appreciate if u would go home and do the test and inform me about the speed try coping a single big file and multiple folders both will give you different transfer speeds and let me knw will be kind of you
