even with the superclock the r9 seems a better bet... and I'm a bit of a fanboy on nvidia for drivers and such. I know AMD has gotten better, just a bad taste after a bunch of issues with tempermental ATI cards.

these cards really aren't in the same bracket either...

best bet is to spend the small amount extra and get the R9

I prefer to go with Nvidia due to driver quality. I've always had better luck with Nvidia WHQL drivers. I avoid the beta drivers. However, there are others here who would claim the opposite. That's just my advice.

As far as the raw performance goes, from what I just read on various reviews of both, it looks like the R9 270 performs significantly faster than the GTX 750 Ti. The 750 Ti looks to be in the same class as the R7 265 in performance, and a little slower at that.

I'd still go with the 750 Ti, but that's your choice.

just the R9 270x, only a few bucks more and AMD drivers are as good as Nvidia's right now.

they're not. but still that r9 270x is the better buy. you just need to tinker with it a bit, for example, you need to learn first how to tinker with image scaling in CCC otherwise you'll end up scratching your head when you see the black bars around your monitor when playing games.
