Why Is The GTX 670 No longer Sold?

I was wondering if I should sell my GTX 670 and get a GTX 970 or to get another GTX 670 but they seem to have diapered from everywhere. What happened to the GTX 670 and shold I get the GTX 970 or another GTX 670?

The board is two generations old, and the demand for 700 and 900 boards is enough to make fabbing 600 boards nearly worthless to Nvidia/GPU vendors.

Some stores still sell the gtx670, but it is not cheap, why do you just buy the gtx970 and sell the gtx670? even sli 670 may have better performance.
