Hi, after endless reading i came up with these brands but can't deside.

Waterblocks curently status:
INNO3D: ek980
ASUS: ek670 DCII
PALIT+EVGA: ek670 + heatiller 970 + xspc razor 670
MSI + GIGABYTE G1: ETA

EVGA
The good: waterblock warranty, waterblocks available
The bad: bad quality
INNO3D
The good: pcb is 980 reference, ek980 waterblock
The bad: price
MSI
The good: best quality, OC
The bad: no waterblock, people complaining about their warranty
ASUS
The good: good quality, ek 670 waterblock
The bad: one 8-pin - low energy capacity, people complaining about their warranty
PALIT
The good: reference 970 pcb, waterblocks available
The bad: -
GIGABYTE G1 GAMING
The good: high energy capacity, good quality, OC
The bad: no waterblock

TL/DR : What brand to choose for watercooling 970 ?

I would take the MSI 970 PCB over the reference 980 PCB.

You should email them about the sticker. Many times they put it on there but if you live in the U.S. or certain countries, removing it will not void the warranty.

I'd go MSI. From what I've heard, EK is making a waterblock for it.

Haven't heard anything about the warranty, unless you are talking about the "void if removed" sticker?

Many Enthusiasts will watercool the 970. I would rather have a 970 watercooled with a large OC than a 980. It would cost less and it would be a great card. You get less heat, better performance than a 980 (stock 980, overclocked 970) and a great setup.

that is actually false 980 will be faster even not watercooled than 970 watercooled with oc on both cards. Best option is just 970 with manufacturers aftermarket aircooler as far as cost/performance is concerned

It depends on how much the block is, and if you already have a loop or not.

I never said it would be faster than an overclocked 980. I meant the 970 with a good OC under water would be faster than a 980. I'll update my original post so there is no confusion.

Yes they stated that the "void if removed" sticker would void all warranties on the product.
I already have a modded tj07 with custom loop so it would be shame if graphics card is out, and better temps are always welcomed.
Inno3d having gtx980 pcb means it has higher specs or its same as msi ?
