I have both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 installed and two hard drives, one with Win8 and one with Win7 installed. On the HDD with WIn7 installed, I have the OS partitioned off and the rest of the drive I am using for media storage. I want to be able to access the media files and folders on both Win7 and 8. However, I can't configure the security tab to allow be to access the files/folders on Win7. Of course, users labelled as 'Admin', 'Everyone' etc. on Windows 8 doesn't apply to any user on Win7.
How can I configure the securiity settings to allow acess from two OS? i am the only user on both OS by the way.

Hmm, those users do exist on windows 7 but you might not be able to access them unless you're using Windows 7 Professional. Not sure. I would think that if the user was admin and all the files were admin/full control, you should be able to access every file everywhere. never tried this...
