I've been working on this for like 24 hours and can't figure it out. i bought a new mobo (z97) and cpu (4690k) recently and installed them without problem, the system booted up fine and was ready to go.
i put my old motherboard and cpu in to backup my drive before the windows reinstallation. then a couple hours later I put my new parts back in, and the computer will not start. no fans no beeps or anything. I've gone through the checklist and everything is good.
1. I've triple checked and reinstalled all of the cables
2. reinstalled cpu and ram etc.
3. tested that psu works.
I've read through the motherboard manuals and nothing is out of place. the only thing i think changed, my computer did an update before i put the new parts in for the second time. if needed i can take some pics of my computer. i could really use some help on this one, thanks everyone!
