USB flashdrive problem

I have a Color Turn 15gb 3.0 USB FD (cheapy), and my PC says it had a little more than 7gb free, but I can't transfer a 4gb file. The file transferred fine on another FD. I've never had this issue. Would I maybe need to reformat it?

edit: 16gb

Format your flashdrive with NTFS format and its good to go ;)
