Hello, I have a quick question about my CPU and heat consumption. I plan to use a Intel i5 CPU and use it for gaming. I saw that most people when gaming use an after market heatsink for better performance. After looking at my case i cannot tell whether or not i need to purchase one because my case has a lot of fans. I though i would ask your opinions.

It's best to not use the stock heatsink if you are going to be stressing the CPU.

Just buy a CM 212 EVO. It will work well if you aren't overclocking.

Case cooling is not usually much of a factor in cooling the cpu. Though in certain cases it might have a little effect.
The main factor is the cpu cooler. Stock cooler just do not do well when a cpu is stressed. Heat is the enemy to your processor. So it is a wise choice to always use an aftermarket cooler that decidedly better than the stock one.
