Hey guys I am a casual gamer nothing to hardcore or anything like that but every now and then I like to play the latest hit game. I am wanting to get a decent good quality GPU for my PC? I am not wanting to spend over 200$ if possible but want something that would play most games at decent graphics!

I have a I7 4770k at 4.5ghz
Asus Maximus VI Mobo
8gb G skill Sniper Series 2000
650 Watt PSU
4tb Western Digital Green
130gb Samsung SSD

Solution

No problem. Also, you should be able to run SLI 970's on a 650W PSU.

Look into a 280.

I would suggest an i5 for just gaming. No need to spend extra on an i7 if you are just gaming. You could put that money toward a better GPU.

Ok perfect it looks like the 270 is the way to go! By the way I already have that setup in my PC. I am just looking to add a GPU. Also if money was not an issue, what would be the best card worth getting right now? One that could be pared with another in the future like Crossfire or SLI?

The 970 is the best value right now. One 970 can run most games at max settings and should be able to for quite a while (at 1080p).

If you meant out of these cards, then the 280.

In one of my builds there is a EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED 2048MB GDDR5. Right now it is $205 on Amazon. This is the recommended gpu for the new game Shadow of Mordor. Reply if you would like another option

Either would cost more than it's worth. And if you Crossfire, you're going to need a PSU upgrade.

2 R9 270's would be somewhere between an R9 290 and R9 290X (some people say it dominates both of them... my 2 overclocked R9 270's definitely don't :p), R9 280 Crossfire doesn't have an equivalent single card that I know of.

I think I am gonna go with the 970. I can squeeze that in right now and could add one a little later with a PSU upgrade along the way. Thanks everyone for the Input, much appreciated!
