I'm monitoring the APU temps for my A10-6700, and I was wondering what my max operating temperature is. I've done some digging on the AMD website, but I couldn't find anything on that subject relating to my APU. Does anyone have familiarity with its max temp?

Hello,

according cpu-world.com the Maximum operating temperature of your CPU is 71.3°C (I hope their info is accurate)

Try to keep it under 65.
Vishera has a lower max temps compared to bulldozer, Vishera is about 62C, Dozer is closer to 68C.

CPU socket temp should be below 68, CPU Core temp should be below 60.
Degrees in Celsius, of course.

I'm monitoring the thermal margin for temps, and I see 61 at idle and 17 under load.

Are you sure you mean 61 idle? If so somethings wrong here. Hopefully you mixed up those two numbers...

With Thermal margin, that means it has a 61 degree range within it's operating temps. I did some more research, that number is only accurate at load. That means I average around 55 degrees at load. (72-17)
