Hi guys,

I know when it comes to power, CPUs are not really considered due to their low watt use.

But will 500W (80+ Gold) be enough for a i7 4790 with a MSI GTX 970?

I will also have a Noctua NH-U9B-SE2 CPU cooler with the build and I wont be overclocking (getting the fan for the looks).

Thanks!

The power difference is negligible. Do not overclock the CPU or GPU though.

yes no problem if its a good quality PSU.

And any way you cannot OC that CPU so no need to buy an aftermarket cooler for stock clock.

EVGA Hadron Air with the 500w 80+ GOLD, is this considered good?

EVGA is a good brand but what you have mentioned is a stock PSU which comes free with the case so its not a good quality PSU but an average one but it should do the job .
