Hey guys!

I have a problem which as I see via the search function that it's not so rare. I read through most of the threads, but each was a little different so here is my problem:

ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
AMD FX-8350
8GB DDR3 RAM Crucial Part Number: BLS8G3D18ADS3.16FE
AMD Radeon HD7970 or R9 280X GIGABYTE version
CHIEFTEC GPS-700A8 700W
Windows 8.1 64bit

So I am usually play games like World of Tanks, Civ5, LoL, and nowadays Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor.
The whole PC is a week old.
When I am in game pIaying, sometimes I get the "AMD graphics driver crashed and recovered" text and this happens :
1. The game crashes and I need to restart it.(World of Tanks)
2. The game continues to go on and seconds later my screen comes back.

The GPU Temp is okay, my driver is up to date.
The thing is that the Middle Earth game is running smoothly without the error or anything with the options maxed, While in World of Tanks for example I lowered the graphics a lot, and I get fewer encounters with this problem, it still happens.

I read a thread which maybe can helpful but without feedback I don't want to change those things. Here is the link: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1746471/displa...

Ok, Im gonna list the steps you need to do to try and fix your problem, (90% of people that try these steps usually fixes their problem)

1) Move your mouse to either the right bottom or right top for the charms, Settings, and PC Info, Click on "Advanced System Setting" on the left.

2) Now in that windows that popped up, click on the Hardware tab, Now click on the "Device Installation Settings", Click on "No, Let me choose what to do" and the dot that says " Never install Driver software from Windows Update."
(Windows 8.1 is to smart for its own good and can causes all sorts of issues with AMD drivers)

3) Uninstall your video driver and reboot the system

4) In Control Panel, (Category View) click on "Appearance and Personalization" then "Folder Options" And in that windows click on the View tab and dot where is say "Show hidden files, Folder, and drives"

5) Now go to "This PC" (you can search for it if you don't have a shortcut)
C: Drive and Program Files (x86), if there is a AMD or ATI folder in there, delete it.
C: Drive and Program Files, if there is a AMD or ATI folder in there, delete it.
C: Drive ProgramData, if there is a AMD or ATI folder in there, delete it.
C: Drive, Users, (Your User Name), AppData and all 3 of them folders, Local, LocalLow Roaming if there is a AMD or ATI folder in there, delete it.

6) Download the Newest AMD Driver and install it and reboot even if it doesn't ask.

Optional) You can change the hidden folder options back and the find device drivers options if you want.

I always find windows 8.1 to have issues when you remove drivers, it will then go ahead and download the 32bit drivers and cause all sorts of issues.

hope this helps!
