This is my PC as of now and I am considering upgrading my two monitors to something a little more up the market, so i was wondering, 4k or gysnc? can my PC even run a 4k monitor well enough and which is better out of the two??

Thanks

1) The build has such an awful PSU. And the fan can easily be better.
2) Since you only have a GTX 980, it isn't too prepared for 4K. So I would say wait a while longer until G-Sync 4K monitors pop up.

Hey,

it's personal opinion but to me higher FPS is more important than higher resolution.

I would much more prefer to play with 100+ FPS on a 1440 p G-Sync monitor like http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO... than merely hitting 60 FPS on a 4K monitor. I think we need wait for another couple of years to go by before we can comfortably use 4K as a gaming resolution.

Same here, higher FPS is always more important to me.

I'd get the G-SYNC monitor, your performance in games will be higher due to the higher refresh rate.

Here are a few tips for your build:

1. Defiantly get a better psu, it's not worth your motherboard, CPU and Graphics card to die due to a budget psu. Get a 600W+ SeaSonic power suppily.

2. Get the Maximus VII, it has more features and has future support for broadwell cpus.

3. Unless you like that dominator memory, I'd get the corsair Vengeance Pro. It's cheaper and just as good as dominator for mainstream builds.

My mistake i chose the wrong mobo on pc part picker website ^^ i have the VII mobo as it says in my signature :)  and yeah i think in the very near future i will upgrade the psu to something a little stronger.

FOr the monitors in my personal opinion FPS is more important than resolution for me so after looking at it i think a gsync monitor might be a better choice
