I built a new PC and attempted to load a new image of Windows 7 on my new SSD but it sticks at 0% expanding for hours and doesn't move. I have tried this multiple times with no success. I then hooked up my old HHD and attempted to put the image on it and it worked immidiately.. Is there something special I have to do for the SSD to work? Thank you in advanced

I am sorry, I think I mislead you by saying "image". I have a Windows 7 Home Premium installation CD that will not work on the SSD. It loaded on the HHD but won't on the SSD. The SSD is 232GB after the overhead, so had plenty of room for the OS.

Ahh. Yes you did. An image is something different. Thx for clearing that up.

So the install see's the SSD and lets you select it but doesnt actually install to it. Can you tell us which motherbd you have? If this is an OEM pc (HP, Dell...) let us know the make and model#. Thanks.

OMG!!! I just fixed it! I was reading on other forums and it said you had to initialize the disk. I put my HHD back in. loaded windows, went to disk management ("diskmgmt" from the start menu), selected "MBR" and "OK". After doing that I restarted my computer, booted from the installation CD and attempted to install on the SSD again. MAGIC! It worked :)
