Is there a way I can transfer windows 7 to my new build?

Im going to be building a PC pretty soon and before I order everything, I have a question. I have a PC that has win 7 on it, however I do not have the disk or the key. Is there a way I can transfer this windows 7 to my new pc?

If it's an OEM version (from HP, Dell, etc) no, it's tied to the original motherboard.
If it's a retail version (that you bought separately) yes.

Who makes the PC?
'bought it with the PC' If it's bought seperately FROM the PC you can clone the disc use free software & it will work,
but if it's an OEM version, it will not 'activate' in a new system. You can download Belarc (free) which will tell you the 'keyy' (and everything else about the pc)
but again, if an OEM key, SOL.

This is a old HP PC I bought 4 years ago. When we bought the PC, it had win 7 pre-installed on it. No disk. Im pretty certain its OEM, but thanks!

Preinstalled is OEM, Sorry, but there is no way to transfer it to a new PC.
