so thats a bundle im considering then. Would that boost up my fps in games and not cause a bottleneck anymore?

Don't listen to everyone here. A Computer is a General-Purpose machine. There is not ONE single task assigned to it.
It will depend on which games you play. The games that are more Graphic Intensive will probably not be bottlenecked, Those who are very CPU-Intensive will be bottlenecked.
The PC changes with what you do, not the inverse. You can never change what a Computer does.
Regards,

Try an i5-4690 and a H97 motherboard. They might not be a bundle.

battlefield 4 is maybe not the most cpu intensive game. but that CPU is bottlenecking in this case. he wants to play new games on high settings. then update that CPU.
with CPU, i ment the APU.

Well i have a gtx 780ti and im getting like 30-40 fps in battlefield 4 multiplayer on ultra 1920x1080 p so im just assuming that the amd apu a10 6800k will be the cause of that bottleneck.Did you try other games?
SSAA and V-Sync can seriously deteriorate a game's FPS.
Also, is your CPU always running at 100% during a playthrough?

In my honest opinion, I think of this as a big waste of money. If you just got that CPU, stick with it. But if you already wanted to upgrade since a long time ago, go for the i5, its value is pretty good right now, especially if you get a rebate! As for the motherboard, if you do not intend to do some serious overclocking, don't fall in the MOBO Gimmick war. The redundant features such as USB Boost or Ethernet Boost are all gimmicks.
The FX-8320 is also a good choice if you want to go for the cheap. A mobo-cpu combo can be found around 199$.
Hope it helps,

those MSI motherboard problems are in the past now. it should be a perfectly good working motherboard.
QC stands for quality control by the way. but you can go for other cheaper motherboards aswell that will perform just as good.
then the i7, if you want to spend the money...you can go for it. but the i5 will last you quite a while and you wont see any fps differences compared to the i7.
and like bloc97 said. you can also go for an fx 8320. I use an fx 8320 and it's more then good enough for gaming. the i5 4690k is better and will give you more futureproofing though.

when you say big waste of money do you mean that i wouldnt see any fps difference? You should see an increase in FPS, but if the problem lies somewhere else than the bottleneck, im afraid that you could waste money.
It would be stupid to use 300$ to then notice that you had a malware or installed the wrong drivers, etc.
We should be focusing on the problem instead of concluding immediately that its an bottleneck.

what do you think would be the best way to go about finding out if its malwareAs theprskx2 said earlier, you should check the CPU usage while doing nothing, then when playing battlefield 4.
If it's at 1-10% when doing nothing and maxed out when playing a game, then the bottleneck is confirmed.
If its 60-80% during a BF4 session, the problem lies somewhere else.

how would i check my cpu usage lol sorry im a noobDon't worry, You can go to task manager. There are three ways, choose the easiest for you :
1- Hold CTRL+ALT then press DELETE, then click on Task Manager, Performance Tab.
2- Hold CTRL+SHIFT then press ESC, go to Performance Tab
3- Hold START BUTTON then press R. Type in the box : taskmgr.exe , then go to Performance Tab.
In that tab, you should see multiple Sections, one for your CPU and one for your Memory. CPU usage is in %, so is the RAM.

That is not normal, even for a dual-core CPU.
Try using CPU-Z, then tell me the CPU Clock (in MHz)
You might be victim of AMD Cool'n Quiet downclocking the CPU.

Don't worry, if you got the money, upgrade the CPU and Motherboard. You won't need to reinstall everything as long as you don't touch the hard drive.
Reinstall the drivers when finished upgrading.
Even if the problem still persists, you have a better CPU! Im pretty sure the problem is software-based, so you can fix it whenever you want.
Best luck to you,
Bloc97
