Overclocking CPU (i7-4790k) for the First Time, can't OC...?

Hi!

This is my first time trying to overclock my CPU (i7-4790k).

I have read several guides and I have an idea of how to do it but I can't seem to manually adjust the CPU ratio. It doesn't let me change it and I get the description "This item can only be changed if the processor supports this function."

I have an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard. Unless my motherboard doesn't let me manually OC my CPU? Yet I've seen others succesfully overclock their CPU's with the Gaming 5 mobo.

I'm confused as to what the issue is... Is there something that I have to enable, disable? Is my 4790k faulty?

I have an EVGA 750Watt Nova G2 PSU...

Thanks!

When I had a MSI board, it only let me manually adjust the multiplier using the numeric keypad. Make a difference or no?

Yep I had to use the numeric keypad to adjust multiplier... I kept clicking on it trying to hopefully bring a top down menu... well my excuse is that this is my first time, lol.
