I am fixing a computer that was in an automatic repair loop. I was not able to refresh, reset, or system restore the computer because it displayed messages such as having a locked hard drive or to use system restore you must specify which windows installation to restore windows 8. I got an iso file online and now I can't do a clean install since I do now have the product key due to the fact that it is a computer bought from the store. How do I go about this? I am able to go in the bios, and the repair menu of windows 8 and that's as far as I can go. I can't enter safe mode either.

What are you trying to do? Did you buy retail Win 8 or did you upgrade? What OS was there originally? Restore back to original and then upgrade through Microsoft site.

I am trying to do a clean install with an iso found online. The Windows 8 is OEM and I cannot get the product code. Yes, since it was oem. I cannot restore since it says that I do not have the right product key. I tried the ei.cfg thing, but that didn't work.

If you bought computer in the store or from manufacturer, your code should be on your case. Also your drive should have partition D where your recovery data is stored.

Since its Windows 8, it does not have the code on the case. I can't access it since I'm in a loop. I can only boot into the USB's repair screen, bios, and installation screen. I can't clean install because of the "the product key entered does not match any of the windows images available for installation oem"
