I took an SSD out of a Ubuntu box and put it into my new PC. When I try to install Windows it says that it can't be installed because it has an MBR table, and Windows only works on GPT disks.

If I boot up Ubuntu from a USB, how can I go about removing all traces of Ubuntu from the drive so it can be used for Windows install?

I don't need to protect any files or do anything fancy - just put it back the way I got it. Please tell me there is 1 magic button that fixes it!

Thanks a lot in advance for any help.

If the hdd is over 2.2 TB. You may have to format it in GPT. And maybe on another computer. Or disable UEFI and secureboot
