MoCA may be the better solution for you given the slow Powerline speeds. MoCA is a good alternate option, but the gear is more difficult to configure, and generally more expensive. If you in a room next to the router, I would also consider going WiFi before MoCA.

Be careful that you do not have conflicting hardware that prevents moca from running. Things like directtv and many multiroom cable DVRs use the same bandwidth you want to use.

Moca main downside is it is expensive but it runs fast and is much more stable than wireless and even powerline since there are not random sources of interference on the same airway or cables.

Some devices like the latest motorola cable modem/router has a built in moca adapter so you can just buy one on the remote ends. Verizon fios also uses standard moca but I have never used it.
