I am building a computer soon and have chosen the i5-4590, r9-280x dual x, and 2x4gb ram. And a hyper 212 evo. I just don't know what motherboard would be good for my build. I was going to use the Asrock H81M-HDS for $50 but I asked around locally and people said it's a low-end motherboard and that it isn't very good for gaming. I won't be doing any overclocking. It would be nice to have built in wifi but I don't have to have it. I am looking to spend 100-150$. I will be mainly gaming. I don't actually know much about motherboards so that is why I'm asking here. Thanks!

I would recommend a H97 motherboard. If you don't mind carrying out a BIOS update, then get a H87 motherboard. For the brands, I recommend Asus, Gigabyte or ASRock (order from the best to the least IMO).

This may ruin your decision. But how much difference is the i5-4590 and the i5-4690. It is slightly faster.

Try this the Gigabyte Gaming Series. Don't go with MSI due to bad QC.

The MSI H97 gaming 3 is a great choice for the bucks. Im using a Z97 Gaming 7 series and the features are awesome.
Everyone talks about the quality control of MSI. Is true, they got bad reputation. But if you get it on NEWEGG.COM the RMA is not a pain in the ***.
