Ok so first things first the specs of the PC.

Keep in mind I only put this pc together a week ago so there's been barely anything installed yet.

AMD FX 8350 Vishera
Asrock 990FX Killer mobo
Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4gb @ 1600mhz
Corsair CX750M PSU
Sapphire R9 270X Toxic Boost Edition
Corsair h55 CPU cooler

So the problem I'm having which has happened twice now, seemingly at random points,my pc will just slow down to a crawl and be basically unusable until I've done a hard reset. I've checked the temps and everything and it's all fine so I'm stumped. There are no viruses on the pc either.

The only thing I can even link it to now that I think back,is that both times I had origin running installing battlefield (first time didn't install from disc properly, second time I was downloading it).

I would think that origin wouldn't be that much of a resource hog but I can't think of anything else because I've had the system running for hours without a lockup in sight except for origin I guess which basically slows the system to a crawl and it's pretty much unresponsive until I've hit the reset button on the tower itself which I hate doing.

If anybody has any input I'd appreciate it a lot. I seem to be having one problem after the other with this PC. With the build being my first it has kind of soured the experience for me haha.

that build seems a little unbalanced but hmm

You want to get a better PSU if you can still get an exchange, it's more than you need

no, i wasn't saying that the psu is causing problems, I don't know what is. The CX line of PSU aren't the best and on the other hand, it is more than what you need. Sorry if I was unclear.

Ok then don't offer advice if you don't know what it is. Thanks. And fyi it's not more than what I need. The PSU is the most important part of the build so if you want to be safe it's always better to get "more than you need" other than buy a heap of expensive parts and just throw in a cheap PSU that can't hold up.

I have friends that run over 1000w PSUs,do they need them? probably not, but it's better to be safe. Another factor is upgradin. Next time I want to purchase a new better GPU I won't also have to pay for a new PSU as well just to be able to use it,thus saving money in the future. Hope that clears that up for you. Thanks for playing
