GTX 960 Release Date

I would like to hear what you guys think. Will the GTX 960 only be released next year ir this year?

I may want to change my plan of getting the GTX 960 instead of the GTX 970.

Appreciate any thoughts.

MSI gpus are generally good for overclocking while Asus usually has shorter, quieter but less performing cards.

Oh is that so... I heard that Asus have great cooling, however I wouldn't look into overclocking my GPU, unless I am really don't want to buy a new graphics card.

So is it worth the wait? Or should I just jump into a stire and get the GTX 970 (GTX 980 are over my budget)?

I kind if know where I am leaning towards to, but you would like to hear what the community has.

I would go with the gtx 970 because of the performance/price ratio, which by the way is excellent, so if you can afford it go for the gtx 970, it is going to be better than the gtx 960 because the gtx 960 is the successor of the gtx 760 while the 970 is of the gtx 770.

Yes of course I know it is the successor and all that the GTX 970 will obviously be better than the GTX 960. But please provide more information and evidence.

As for now, it is rumoured by many online tech sites that the graphics card will be released at the first quarter of next year and priced and about $250.

Oh, I heard that it was going to be 200$, which was a shame since I had jist bought the 760 for the same price. Where did you hear it was gonna be 250$?

Well the GTX 960 's are out, and I have it installed and it is a budget beast. Thanks guys, clearly I have no regret at all.
