I recently had my PS3's "blinking red light" issue fixed but now it appears to have lost all the drive information. When I power up now I get nothing. It appears the software is gone completely. I have tried to reload using the method from PlayStation's site using the upgrade software page and a flash drive but it's not accepting the info. Maybe my drive is corrupted and needs to be changed? Any ideas would be appreciated

You could probably take the drive out and have a look at it using a PC and some software like Western Digital's data lifeguard diagnostic software or Seagate's Seatools. That should tell you if the drive is functioning correctly. If that is the issue you can at least buy a new working notebook drive to replace it then use the USB drive method to install the OS on the new drive.
