I've already decided what I'm going to buy and I'm going with intel. However, when I used cpuboss to compare these two, intel was more for the money. IS AMD LOSING ITS PURPOSE? If so, intel will get sluggish and I don't know, maybe NVidia will start making cpus, not just gpus. I know that this is complete fantasy and all, but do you think that amd is more for your money?

Solution
CPU boss is... not worth opening.

Just saying. Trying to use any of that "information" for any practical purpose simply is pointless.

As to your actual question... it's late, go to bed. :p
But no, I'm not sure about your conjecture about AMD losing its purpose and such, but I can tell you that AMD isn't more for the money. If you're looking for a computer to do video editing, heavy rendering, and such, on a cheap budget, the FX 8350 is a pretty good option. If you're gaming, looking for single core performance and all that, there's no chip that represents better value (that also provides the game-maxxing performance you expect) than the i5.

Yes you can game on an i3 or 6300, but they're going to hold you back. The 8350 is a great...

Yes you can game on an i3 or 6300, but they're going to hold you back. The 8350 is a great CPU, but it runs hot, and doesn't have the single core performance to compete with Devil's Canyon in poorly optimized games. (Read: in games. period.) The i7's and such, well... there's absolutely no reason to spend that much money if all you're looking at is gaming performance. (Ignoring the 'way too much money in the wallet' option of a $600 motherboard to support a $1000 CPU and four graphics cards.)

The 8320 is much better for your money, and is the real selling point for AMD right now. It is the same chip as the 8350, just with a lower factory clock. This means with a little overclocking, you have the exact same thing as an 8350. It's a great chip for the price, but if you have $300 to spend on a CPU or something, there is no reason not to go Intel.
