Hello

I’m looking to buy an 27 inch monitor wich will mainly be used for pc-gaming.

Currently I’m looking at:

- Asus VE278H
- Asus VS278H
- Asus VS278Q
- …

Wich all settle in the same price range, but any other suggestions would be welcome too!

Solution
If you want really a good 27" 1440p monitor and not going to go cheap.
ASUS PG278Q is one of the best I have ever tried, you will not regret this monitor.

Am I seeing Qnix in one of the signatures? Qnix is not bad for the price.
You would want to look at it too for 27" 1440p monitor.
hmmm...1440p is not really recommendable for gaming unless you have a really powerful rig.
If your rig is powerful enough get this ASUS PG278Q
If your rig is not that powerful, just stick with 1080p ASUS VG248QE or ASUS VN247H.
I have only experiences with those I mentioned, the types numbers are different from those you posted.

Rigs are upgradable, monitors can be set to lower res when gaming. it would be cheaping in the long run to get a cheapo 1440p

My rig consists of:

I5-4670k
Asrock Z87 Extreme4
Gigabyte GTX 670

Would that pull 1440p? I honestly don’t know much about displays, resolutions, … I mostly play games like Skyrim, Borderlands 2, …

I’d rather not buy a display from ebay. What about the Asus PB278Q? It’s a lot cheaper than the ASUS PG278Q.

If staying 1080p Those Asus VG248QE and ASUS VN247H look interesting.
