So my gaming computer of 12 months is playing up. Im getting memory management bsod frequently when my computer hits the desktop, and also frequently crashing before windows can boot, it just cuts and reboots right after the asus splash screen. I also get the system service bsod occasionally. I ran memtest86+ for a few passes the other day and found no errors. I bumped the dram voltage up a little as i heard that might help. I am currently running memtest again and planning on leaving it overnight or for a day to make sure there are no errors there. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Cheers in advance

Hey,

Don't fiddle about with voltages before you've done the simple stuff first.

Do you recall anything that may have happened to the system prior to these crashes starting?
Have you perhaps knocked your tower that could of caused components to severe a connection?
Did you update any drivers/install any windows updates prior to the BSOD issues?

What i would suggest you do is:
Reseat your RAM
Reseat your GPU
Check other components in your system and make sure they are sat correctly and wires plugged in correctly.
If you are able to, try reverting windows back to the time before the BSOD errors started happening - maybe even go a few weeks before then to make safe. if you arn't able to access this, you can do it by pressing keys on...

If you are able to, try reverting windows back to the time before the BSOD errors started happening - maybe even go a few weeks before then to make safe. if you arn't able to access this, you can do it by pressing keys on startup (F5, Del, F11 dependant on your MB). You can use your windows disc to do this too.
Perhaps try a repair using the windows disc - it's a long shot but can soemtimes fix small errors

If you have tried all of the above, i would normally try a format & reinstall. If it is a software issue, then this should sort it. It is best to try all options that will not cost you £££ before you start replacing parts/playing with voltages.

Hope that helps.
