Hello, my fps started dropping randomly while im playing any game. While playing League of Legends, Path of Exile, even Cry of Fear. I have no idea why this is happening, i updated the graphic card to see if the issue would be solved but with no luck. I then checked the CPU temperatures and it goes around 60-79 max, which is kinda normal since i have a Pentium 4 cause the temperatures are always around this values. I dont know what else i can do, i tried closing everything while playing but it also doesnt help. Can you give me any hand or any advice?

EDIT: Its not a laptop

What about the temps on the GPU? What GPU is it? (Probably a good idea to just post your complete specs here actually. MB, ram, GPU, CPU, PSU, everything.) Does your framerate drop randomly, then go back up again to normal levels afterwards, or do they stay low once they have dropped?

My GPU is a Nvidia Gefore 8600 GS and the temp is around 60-70, i have 3gb of ram, my CPU is a Pentium 4 and always around 60-78, PSU has 500W because the old one had 420W and it didnt have enough power for the fan to cool the CPU.
The framerate drops randomly, and after it drops it goes back up, and after a while it drops again.

For example, i was just playing Path of Exile, just closed the game, cpu and gpu is on 60º.

Sorry but I honestly don't know what it could be. Really it could be anything. Faulty part, drivers, bugs, conflicts, some antivirus or other program, motherboard not getting along with something, etc...

since you CPU always around 60c-78c u need a CPU fan cooler and if i were you i would get a 4gb ram or 8gb as a small upgrade , i used to play with 3gb on my laptop but , new games demand 4gb+ .

The thing is i used to play pretty well with just the 3gb of RAM... And with this temperature too, and then suddently one day fps drop started, but only on league of legends, then moved on to another games too. I mean, i get fps drops playing Amazing world!! Thats just embarrassing... Today i was watching a video on 9gag.tv and got dammit, 5 seconds at a good speed/fps, then suddently its like the fps drops and the image goes at 2fps, then back to normal for more 5 seconds, and the temperature is around the same values...

Lets say i start a game of league of legends, CPU is around 75º. No fps drop until 20minutes (Sometimes i get them sooner), at 20minute mark i get my first fps drop, i go check the temperature, 70º...

I swear to god i have no idea what this could be cause i already tried anything, my cooler is a Intel LGA775 and has been working as it always has.

get a better cooler for your CPU and a 4gb or 8gb :)
