I'm using an HP Envy m6 as a portable web server to serve web pages to a bank of 9 remote iPads. I have used Connectify to connect them to the laptop/server but Connectify keeps dropping the connection. Instead, I would like to use my Netgear WGR614 wireless router which is connected to my laptop via an Ethernet cable (one end in the network plug in the laptop, the other end in one of the 4 wireless ports in the router) to connect the iPads so the laptop/server can serve the web pages. I can't figure out how to do this. Any suggestions?

It should just work in the default configuration. The router will give out IP addresses to all the ipads as well as your computer. You can I suppose assign a static to your computer if you like. It is like you were running but your internet was down. Of course you must use the IP addresses unless you are running a DNS server on the webserver machine.
