Intel don't tend to do many price drops on there processors. Lets face it they don't really have much competition, so they don't really have to. Depending on were you are in the world you might see the prices go up and down slightly. The cost price to resellers is link to the US dollar. So if the UK pound is stronger than the US you will see prices come down a little.

I would advise getting the i5 over the i3 for one very simple reason; You are never going to get to a point where you want your computer to do less, you will only ever get to a point where you wish it could do more.

By investing in the i5, not only will you be able to game quite comfortably, but it will also perform just about any other task you might want to throw at it, both now and many years down the line. Buying the weaker product just to save a few pennies is a false economy, as eventually you will find the system bogged down and in need of replacement. With the i3 that could be in 3 or 4 years, but with the i5 you can easily double that or more.

Okay sir, i am going with an i5 processor, earlier i too was in dillema with an AMD FX6300 but its no match to the great i5 processor
Please can you suggest me some cheap and best Mobo for this cpu?
Also will a 450 W PSU be sufficient for it?
I am not going to buy any processor sooner b4 atleast 8 months, hope it would still remain futureproof

In 8 months time the 5th gen Intel processors will likely be out. If you buy a any Z97 motherboard they will take the 5th gen so you will still be able to upgrade.

Something like

will be a decent ATX board. If you want to overclock I would look at one of the Gaming boards, either the 3 or 5.

I can personally recommend both MSI and ASRock for their motherboards as I currently own one of each and have owned others in the past. Both companies produce very decent low, mid and high end motherboards that cater for almost every price point and requirement. As tommyducker says, go for a Z97 board as these will remain compatible with intels 5th generation of CPU which should be available at around the same time as you will be making your purchase.

When it comes to the power supply it is not just the CPU you need to be concerned about powering, but also a GPU, which I highly recommend you purchase, specifically I would suggest picking up a GTX 970 from NVIDIA. These cards are low power usage whilst remaining very high on the graphics output front.

With one of those GPU's and an i5 I would advise going with a 550W unit, either from Corsairs RM range or a Seasonic unit as both companies have outstanding products with solid reviews and great support in the event of a failure. Both companies also produce units across a large range of prices ranging from budget to high end.
