I'm looking for assistance in fixing my USB devices. They randomly cut out on occasion, and sometimes they will shut down entirely and require a full-on system reboot.

The main problem is that my mouse will occasionally cut out for a second every thirty seconds or so. Keyboard will do this too, but much less often. On certain occasions the mouse will sometimes just completely cut out and require a minute to start working again. I also noticed that when using headphones it's possible that all the USB devices will cut out and require a full system re-boot before they start working again.

Solution
sometime high end mice and keyboards can pull to much current on the usb chipset. you may have to buy a hub or another usb card to power all of your usb devices.

Upon your suggestion I checked my power options for Windows and realized that it was on high performance. I switched it to balanced and the problem almost entirely went away. By adding the self-powered USB hub into the mix as well the problem seems to have gone away entirely. Thanks a lot for the help!
