Hello, I'm building a computer and I just need to confirm that three G.Skill DDR3-1866 RAM cards would be compatible with an Asus Z97-A motherboard without problems before I order the parts for my build. Thanks!

Yes they're compatible, but unless they're paired (in 3) from the company, you shouldn't put three sticks, two or four only, as the MoBo is dual channel. But if the sticks you're looking to to get are paired from company, it shouldn't be an issue.

You would not really notice the difference between 2 or 1 channel RAM in real life, although 2 channel is still faster.

Get 2x 4GB. You WILL benefit from dual channel. 8GB of RAM is also more than enough.

3 sticks will not run in dual channel.

You may not notice a difference between dual and single channel if you browse the internet only.. but compare it with a good game and you will.

3 sticks runs in dual channel, as long as the minimum requirement is filled.

It's best to use a dual channel memory kit like this:
