I recently created a VHD on the D: drive of my desktop onto which I installed Windows 8.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate on C: drive. All seemed well I was greeted with a blue dual boot option screen and could boot into either OS originally.
However a problem has occurred where the blue boot screen was replaced by the black screen, both OSs where there as options but I am now unable to boot into Windows 8.
I have tried various online recommendations including tinkering with Easy BCD all to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why do you need 2 OSs on one computer on the same drive? If this is just to have it that way- you wasting your time.
