An i3 is superior to Kaveri. Even this would be better if the OP would be willing to deal with less performance for a bigger monitor.

No I have not used it. There are definitely better monitors out there, I was trying to give you the best performance, and upgrade path, first. If anything, use the monitor as a placeholder, until you can get a better one. Another option is to look around in local stores for used, or clearance deals, for a monitor.

That is a seriously powerful card, get it. Not as good as some other stuff, but for that price, you may as well buy two!

Nice build, the only thing you could save on is the Case and power supply. Bad news though; you left out the operating system.

Around £50 more, but you buy a monitor like a pievce of furniture a good friend of mine often says. If you buy cheap crap now, you'll be looking at cheap crap in 5 years. You buy good now, it's still good enough in 5 years. It hurts you eyes less for a better monitor, and it's IPS.

What do you want to play? You could be fine with something slightly lower.

That should be perfect! I got you some decent peripherals included, and a better monitor. The power supply gives you 100W of headroom, a hexa core, and a great mid range GPU. Hope this helps.
