I did some research, most of the r9 270x card can run w/ a 500w PSU. However for some reason, the club 3d r9 270x requires to have a min of 700w PSU:

I'm thinking of getting this video card but I'm not sure if my PC meets the minimum requirement as I only have a corsair VX 550w.

Please help

The 270x has about a 180 watt power draw when running 100%. They sugest that for the whole PC not knowing what you have in the rest of the PC and to allow for I piece of crap PSU that is over rated on it's power.

They account for a PSU which can barely put out half it's rated output and together with a lot of other power hungry components in your system. The Corsair VX (Not VS, if it is VS then this is incorrect) PSUs are very good quality and use high quality jap caps (Source: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/psus/2008/05/06/corsai...) as far as I'm aware so should be fine, though what are your other specs?

With that system, you should be fine. You can always upgrade later if you want headroom. I run an i5 and an overclocked GTX 770 off of 550w.
